Just a two-minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of Austria's largest shopping street, a BUWOG building lies idle in Lindengasse 60. False! It used to lie idle until some curageous squatters opened the house on the day before the world-wide action day on October 15, 2011 in order to create the
Epicenter. Meanwhile, several humans have made use of Epizentrum's offer to join in and take an active role in shaping the future of the building. Every day, more interested people decide to take part in the center's activities. The building is becoming alife as more and more ideas, projects and apartments are being developed in a shared, constructive process. Together, squatters are creating a permanent open space - a self-governing social and cultural center is developing and continuously growing by the aid of many helping hands. The proprietary, BUWOG, is planning to break down the allegedly devastated building in order to build an underground parking lot. United Aliens TV has been on the ground and discovered a flawless building.
