Every year on Hohen Brendten, a mountain in Bavarian Mittenwald, veterans of the mountain infantry units of the Wehrmacht meet. The gathering is supported by the German Federal Armed Forces and the high-ranking politician Edmund Stoiber. This event is a revisionistic veteran meeting where war criminals can participate without anyone complaining.
Since 2002 there are antifascist protests to end the phantom of Mittenwald . With demonstrations and interviews of contemporary witnesses an opposite point of view is carried across.
