Nach ihrer Ausbildung in Bristol ging Inge Lammel nach London. Dort traf sie politische Flüchtlinge aus Deutschland. Sie trat der KP (Kommunistische Partei) bei. Eine Hauptaufgabe bestand darin die englische Bevölkerung darüber aufzuklären, dass nicht alle Deutsche Nationalsozialisten waren.
