a representative of the afghan woman organisation RAWA spoke atthe BUKO conference in Bremen on June 9th, 2003. she made a point about the fundamentalists still being in power and despite what the media were trying to say, nothing really changed for the women in afghanistan. RAWA calls for an international campaign to put pressure on the ONU to send peacekeeping forces to disarm the fundamentalist groups and by doing this, give the afghan society a chance to develop in a democratic way.
