A group of interested people met for an exceptional workshop at Tachometa in Vienna's second district. Members of the artist and media group !Mediengruppe Bitnik explained how easily anybody can intercept signals of wireless surveillance cameras without profound technical know-how. After a short theoretical introduction, workshop participants followed a fascinating trail of images throughout Vienna, re-exploring seemingly familiar places by finding unprecedented perspectives and depicting the denseness of the - mostly private - wireless surveilance systems.
